Fosso di Nortosce (Valle Sponghe)

The valley that descends to Corno river passing at the foot of the small village of Nortosce hosts the most frequented fossil gorge of Valnerina, appreciated for its nice dryfalls that follow each other at a fast pace, as well as for its not difficult or long approach routes.

What you find in the detailed description

I remember ...

The old road that climbed to Nortosce from the valley of the river Corno is no longer usable, due to the landslides that affected the left side of Corno valley also destroying the muletracks. Only fragments remain of the network of paths that once rose from the valley bottom to Nortosce village, almost erased by woods and broken up by gravel conoids.
However, those who love to venture out of the known paths and through the wilderness can still go back to the village on foot after having descended the canyon, trying to follow one of those ancient paths, thus adding further emotion (and physical effort) to the relatively simple descent of Fosso di Nortosce.
