Behind the village of Castelforte, the Rio Grande canyon is a typical gorge of the Aurunci Mountains with little more than hiking difficulties, surrounded by cultivated land and pastures that are becoming wild again, run by water only in case of exceptional rainfalls because of karst.

I remember ...

These rocky hills overlooking the Gulf of Gaeta, with a view of the islands, are one of those places where I propose to go walking, when I will have more time to devote to these activities or I will have less energy to spend going down canyons.
