We are again in Turano Valley, very near to the Balzi di Grotti and only a few hundred meters from Rio Secco. But here is no pudding-rock: we find a thin-layered limestone instead, not a good rock for hosting a canyon.
That's why Fosso dei Riani is so different from Rio Secco. Here we find a steep valley in the forest, with a few cascades and a couple of short narrows, usually with no flow. It has some nice spots, however.

That day was going to snow ... We were there for another canyon, but as we saw the first flakes falling we divert to Fosso dei Riani
