Vallone di Reginella

Just born from the woods and pastures of Sila Greca, the Reginella valley has a short of gorge, sunny and vegetated, with some small cascades in the granite, enough to give a couple of hours of amusement in nature.

I remember ...

After the short gorge, Vallone di Reginella continues its long descent towards Ortiano creek. Apart from a couple of pretty waterfalls in the granite, not more than 10 m high, the descent is a very long walk in a detrital valley, which soon turns into a fiumara.
Only near to the end the valley encloses in a gorge again, in the flysch, with a few little cascades and pools. This part of the valley is known as Fosso Petrone.
