Fosso di Crosinni

The Crosinni canyon begins severe and spectacular: a narrow dark meander in the black limestone of Mount Cocuzzo. The roar of waterfalls echoes between the walls and the large boulders that close the ceiling, making the environment much like a cave. Then canyon becomes large and wooded, but there are more waterfalls and pools before the valley opens up entirely.

What you find in the detailed description

I remember ...

The magnificent spectacle of the mountains overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, wrapped by the clouds and covered with lush forests. Opposite, in the middle of the blue, the outline of Stromboli, with its plume of smoke. If the weather is clear you can see also Basiluzzo, Panarea, Salina, ... even mount Etna. And from the rooftop terrace of Fiumefreddo Bruzio you can look at such a beauty while enjoying a Tartufo di Pizzo or another great homemade ice cream, thinking about your next adventure that might be in a valley protected by impenetrable jungle or in a dark, majestic meander like the narrows of Crosinni.

Calabria is a wonderful land!
