canyon exploring with Michele Angileri

Gola di Cottanello

Among the sweet and splendid mountain hills of Sabina there is some deep rocky valley, defending a beautiful village with buildings and alleys made of white stones. That's why from belvedere of Cottanello you can look at one of the most beautiful views of Sabina area: the medieval village, the round mounts covered by forests, and a white canyon right down.

Cottanello's canyon is really nice, funny and easy. It needs a bit of fantasy to see where to climb to descend little dry cascades or to bypass pools. And where fantasy isn't enough it's time to pull rope out of backpack, or to resign to wet your legs!

I remember ...

The plan was to explore another stream, which seemed to flow in a good canyon. False: an open stream flowing amidst a wood ... In a couple of hours we were out: what to do for the rest of the day? It comes to my mind of another unknown stream not so far ...
