Torno - Trénico

We are in Cilento National Park, sanctuary of the otter. The village of Cŕmpora rises perched on the edge of the majestic canyon of Torno.
Downstream, torno joins to Trčnico. This one digs tight narrows having very long amazing pools enclosed in white low walls.

Canyons of Torno and Trčnico give canyoneers one of the most interesting and satysfying trails in Cilento Park.

I remember ...

A canyon under a village is often used as a dump, sometimes even as a sewer. Of course we feared this while approaching the beginning of Torno canyon.
There were some men sitting in front of the bank, under a wide tree. We asked them, and a man about fifty seemed to know what we asked for ... He said I guess you should not find sewer, nor trash.

He was right, the stream was clean, a pleasure to swim in.
