I remember ...

While descending the canyon I was thinking about how exhausting the work had been lately, and how important are moments like this. Fresh air, relatively warm water, intense blue sky ... swimming through yet another emerald green pool I stopped, lying on my back, my head supported by backpack, surrounded by majestic ancient rocks and dense mediterranean bush as far as the eye could see ... I paused to breathe that peace, wondering if I was dreaming.
