The mountains between Terni and Spoleto are the natural continuation of the Sabini Range. No wonder, then, that the gorges of this area have the same features as those of Sabina. Fosso dell'Intiera, however, has something more: perennial water flow. In summer, this comes down to a trickle of water, just enough to keep the pools clean. I remember ...

Still a canyon explored 20 years ago but remained largely unknown, reflecting the fact that canyoning has very few enthusiasts even today. Only the social-recreational-adrenalinic version of "canyoning" spread.
I guess it's better this way: with very few exceptions the Apennine canyons remain those solitary and unknown places they were 20 years ago.
