Fosso Inferno

Despite its name, the Fosso Inferno is a heavenly valley tributary of Longano creek, which can be descended with little difficulties. The name is probably due to the impressive gorge located just upstream of the confluence.

The descent can easily be linked to lower Longano canyon.

I remember ...

To be honest, there is something infernal at Fosso Inferno: the vegetation on the slopes, regrown after the forest was cut, is an infernal jungle you can't go through without a billhook. So even where there are no walls on canyon's sides it remains an obligatory route, the only possible one-way passage through the hills.
