Fosso San Lorenzo

Fosso San Lorenzo is a little tributary of Vaccareccia canyon. It can be descended as a variant of the main route. It features a few tall cascades hosted in a wide, steep, wooden valley. The drainage basin is very small and consequently water flow is modest.
The confluence with Vaccareccia is situated just before the narrows.

I remember ...

I expected that the Fosso's waterfalls were lower. Once reached the edge of the highest waterfall I had the feeling that the rope I had was not long enough to descend without an intermediate belay. That would have been a complicated maneuver, given the poor quality of the rock ...

Luckily rope was long enough.
