canyon exploring with Michele Angileri

Fosso del Morrone

Fosso del Morrone is a valley embedded in the hills of Percile. In the rainy season it is crossed by green and pristine waters that create small waterfalls and low pools. The result is a simple route in a beautiful natural environment, perfect for someone to have first canyoning experience.
The excellent grip of travertine rock allows experts to downclimb almost all the waterfalls.

I remember ...

Exploring a stream is not just going to see what a place is like: it is giving it meaning, building an itinerary linked to emotions.
But that day, after the exploration was over, I could not find a meaning for that stream, which although pretty, was insignificant to me.

The meaning came to me a few weeks later: when I needed a torrent suitable for my daughter's first canyoning experience, I realized that the Morrone was perfect for the purpose.
