I remember ...

The exploration of the canyons of an area has a first stage in which you descend the most evident gorges, then a second stage in which you explore those streams that do not appear interesting at first sight but which might be interesting given the slope and the type of terrain in which they develop. After this second stage, in which inevitably you go down some torrents with no canyoning interest, you are convinced that in that area there is nothing interesting anymore and so it's time to go searching for canyons in another area.

Then, years later, the third stage begins ...
