canyon exploring with Michele Angileri

Forra della Linguessa

Surely the most hidden narrows I've ever seen ... You can't see the canyon even if you know it is there, amidst low and almost flat hills. No one could find it without being guided by the explanations of some people knowing exactly where it is. I was guided bythe words of Enrico and Filiberto, two attenders of the school where I were working as a teacher.

Linguessa is not a great canyon, absolutely ... but it is beautiful. In wet seasons it is fed by the powerful jet of emerald water falling down the cascade of Linguessa. But in the middle of narrows something comes to break the charm: sewer, coming from the country-seat that had been the Linguessa Mill, the only inhabited house in this area. Little sewer is able to dirty canyon's water.
It would be easy to solve this problem and make the clean canyon of Linguessa an attraction for visitors and tourists.

In summer canyon of Linguessa becomes dry, as usual for torrents in this area.

What you will find in the detailed description

I remember ...

Stream was dry, shit! it had some flow only one week before! Down in the narrows river bed had many fishes dead, little and big, dead and not stinky. Right at the bottom of the waterfall one inch of water and mud and a lot of dying fishes inside, condamned to death in one day or two. So ...
we catched them by hands! and when at home I ate the most exquisite trout it can be!!
