Vallone Lupillo

The Lupillo is a recessed valley that descends from the limestone hills that overlook the valley of the Volturno. It features short narrows interspersed with open parts, with waterfalls and some deep pool. Overall a route simple but not trivial.

I remember ...

Unfortunately, the stream had a flood the day before, and so the water was brown. Beyond the aesthetic factor, the fact made walking a bit complicated, because we could not see what was under water and so it was easy falling and having a sprained ankle.
But nobody fell and we had fun anyway!

Photographs in this website show ultralight ropes (6 mm ropes made of high tenacity fibers). Read multimedia book Ultralight ropes canyoning technique to learn how to use them.
