Rio Moscosa

The gentle forms of Santopadre hills hide unexpected and surprising canyoning routes, such as the Rio Moscosa.

I remember ...

It was in the early 90s that I located the Moscosa gorge. The season, however, was not the right one: creek was dry. I walked a short distance in the gorge, and it looked me uninteresting, so I forgot it.

25 years later I went back to the area to explore a canyon that has water flowing very rarely, guessing that the water conditions were the right ones there. Since that canyon was almost dry, I decided to postpone the exploration and spend the day looking for new canyons. After a couple of failed attempts, I passed by Rio Moscosa and stopped to look carefully.
And finally I convinced myself that it was worth it.
